SAP will shortly be migrating to a secure, cloud-based platform as part of the Council’s wider programme to modernise and improve our systems and services.
This change will ensure SAP remains secure, resilient and up to date, and is better positioned to support future developments across the organisation.
Please look out for further communications tailored to your roles nearer the time of the migration, including any specific guidance or actions that may be required.
We are not yet able to share specific dates, however we can confirm that the migration and upgrade will happen in August. This will involve some system downtime, which will be communicated closer to the migration date.
During the outage period, users will not be able to access SAP or complete SAP-related transactions. You will be notified at the point of the system closure (similar to the Year End outage process), and a further notification will be sent confirming when the system is available again.
